SAP Competence Manager
Position description
Our client is a global production company with a European IT Hub in Prague. We are searching an experienced professional for the role of SAP Competence Manager to lead team of SAP experts and oversee all SAP-related tasks and activities within client organization. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth functioning, optimization, and strategic alignment of SAP systems with business objectives in a large, dynamic corporate environment.
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of SAP consultants and developers across various SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, WM, etc.).
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the SAP team.
- Assign tasks, manage workloads, and evaluate team performance to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of projects.
2. Strategic SAP System Management:
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for SAP implementations, upgrades, and integrations aligned with corporate goals.
- Oversee the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP solutions to support business processes.
- Drive the optimization of existing SAP systems to improve functionality, efficiency, and user experience.
3. Project Management:
- Plan and manage SAP projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and prioritize initiatives.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and service providers as needed.
4. Risk and Compliance Management:
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements in SAP-related processes.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with SAP system implementations and operations.
- Implement robust security protocols to safeguard data and system integrity.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as the primary point of contact for SAP-related inquiries and requirements from business units.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, supply chain, and HR, to understand business needs and deliver tailored SAP solutions.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on SAP projects, performance, and initiatives.
6. Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies, trends, and best practices to drive innovation.
- Recommend and implement system enhancements to meet evolving business needs.
- Develop training programs and resources to enhance user proficiency in SAP systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in SAP system management, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of SAP modules, functionalities, and integration points.
- Proven track record of managing SAP projects in large-scale corporate environments.
- Strong understanding of business processes and how SAP supports them.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
