Finance Manager


Our client is a fast-growing telecommunications company building fibre optic networks in the Czech Republic. It delivers access network to the areas with limited internet connection and offers full investment (which is usually tens of millions of CZK per location). It belongs to a large European holding and investment company.

Reporting to the General Manager in Prague, our client is looking for the Financial Manager, who will be responsible for complete financial agenda, e.g. reports preparation and consolidation, communication and relationship management with local authorities and banks as well as the investment company. He/she will also manage relationship with outsourced accounting company for daily accounting and regular reporting functions.

The Financial manager will also support the General Manager and colleagues with administrative tasks related to the company operations, be responsible for offices, participate in negotiating with local suppliers, etc.

The position will be responsible to:

  • Prepare monthly reports according to investor requirements & formats following international accounting standards incl. P&L statements, balance sheet and cash flow statements
  • Create cash-flow forecast and report
  • Create and update reporting templates to conform IFRS
  • Supervise all accounting procedures provided by outsourced company (GL, booking, reconciliation, income tax, VAT, road tax, etc.)
  • Follow up of all payables & receivables, inventory evaluation, cash flow management, management of tax & fiscal matters, travel and marketing expenses
  • Execute daily payment procedure
  • Communication with bank, tax office, auditors (Deloitte), etc.
  • Perform administrative tasks


  • University degree and minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Hands-on person who takes charge and enjoys freedom with a drive to take initiative
  • IFRS/IAS knowledge
  • Czech tax knowledge
  • Experience with accounting and depreciation of telecom networks welcomed not required
  • Experience selecting and using accounting software welcomed not required
  • Ability to work in flexible and changing environment; good organizational skills
  • Mature personality, with natural authority
  • On hands approach, able to participate and give advice
  • Detail oriented, self-controlled and responsible
  • Advanced English and advanced MS Office (esp. MS Excel) user
