Senior Project Manager
Role
For our client, a global production company with European IT headquarters in Prague, we are searching candidates for a Senior Project Manager role. This role is part of their European Transformation Program team.
The manager will lead a complex, multi-year SAP S/4HANA Migration and Implementation project. This involves managing numerous workstreams and coordinating with a wide range of stakeholders from both business and technology teams.
The ideal candidate should have a strong IT background and proven experience in delivering large-scale ERP projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the development of the overall SAP project plan, defining key milestones and deliverables to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Ensure consistency and quality across all project workstreams, adhering to Project Management Office methodologies.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program-level risks to ensure project stability and success.
- Monitor project progress and recommend necessary adjustments to strategy, timelines, or deliverables to meet clear objectives.
- Manage and control the project budget, ensuring expenditures align with approved financial plans.
- Ensure the availability and proper allocation of required skills and competencies across all project teams.
- Lead executive stakeholder reviews, facilitating discussions on project needs and changes.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder mapping, communication strategies, and reporting frameworks.
- Oversee project execution, ensuring deliverables are produced on time and meet established quality standards.
- Define guidelines for professional service provider engagement, determining their usage across the project.
- Support and facilitate agenda setting for project committee and steering committee meetings.
Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering also ERP implementation projects (ideally but not necessarily SAP).
- Expertise in managing end-to-end ERP project lifecycles, from initial planning and blueprinting through to go-live and post-implementation support.
- Strong influencing and communication skills, with the ability to manage senior business and IT stakeholders.
- Proven ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Results-oriented and tenacious, with independent judgment and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong facilitation, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
