QA Tools and Process Manager

Role

Our client is an international IT company, which provides payment solutions to clients round the globe. It is leading payments processor in Europe and North Americ, Among the clients are card issuers, acquirers, banks or retail chains. It is continuously working on new products and solutions. To improve defect management processes and cooperation between testing, development, delivery and operations teams and at the same time improve the utlization of Atlassian tools, it has opened new position of the QA Tools and Process Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Define, own, manage and continuously improve the defect management processes
  • Define guidelines and standards for QA tools usage with testing, development and operation teams
  • Utilize already implemented Atlassian tools (Jira...) to maximum level to control defect management processes efficiently and continuously
  • Make sure all defects are stored in the one and only database in proper mannner
  • Define KPIs to measure quality and efficiency of testing and development teams
  • Analyze outputs from the Atlassian tools and discuss possible impovements with respective managers
  • Recommend changes in testing processes and coverage to improve quality of outputs from testers and developers
  • Define and deliver standrard sets of reports for Test managers as well as other ad hoc reports
  • Train newcomers to comply with relevant working standards and processes in defect management

Profile

  • Proven experience in QA, defect and test management or release management
  • Strong reporting and data analysis skills
  • Knowledge and experience working with some of the test management tools like Jira, Zephyr, HP Quality Center, Bugzilla etc. required
  • Excellent communication skills with customer-centric approach
  • Able to communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders and customers
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle is a plus
  • The ability to build effective relationships and to work as part of a team with a pro-active approach to ensure delivery
  • Degree in computer science, project management, software testing or similar
  • ISTQB certificate or experience working with these standards
